Artificial labyrinth
Artificial labyrinth is implanted into the patient who can't hear by using any hearing aids. It directly stimulates the acoustic nerve to convert sounds into electric signals. There are only 4-5 thousands people who use artificial labyrinth in Japan, but application to children arouses public interest. Dr.Yasuhiro Kakazu says that the number of children is 30% of users, but is increasing recently. The user shows good effects to mental development, such as hearing, speaking and looking.
