On March 11, 2024, a signing ceremony for a joint Student Exchange Agreement between the 2 medical schools was held at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. From Kyushu University, a delegation led by Dean Akashi participated in the ceremony.
Chulalongkorn University and Kyushu University signed an inter-university exchange agreement in 2002, and this time round, the signing of the Student Exchange Agreement was made possible after Dr. Chanchai Sittipunt, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University made a courtesy call to Dr. Akashi in August 2023. The two institutions will further strengthen their partnership by sending and receiving students under mutual cooperation.
