当時大学院生だった本田君の仕事です。この論文ではcDNAクローニングを通じ、Ad4BP/SF-1の構造を明らかにしました。Ad4BP/SF-1が女性ホルモン受容体や男性ホルモン受容体を同じく、核内受容体ファミリーのメンバーであることが分かったのでした。この論文は他の多くの論文に引用されています。本田君の学位論文。

数百個のウシ副腎皮質から核抽出液を調整し、Ad4BP/SF-1を精製した力作です。精製標品を用い、Ad4BP/SF-1の認識配列を決定したところ、副腎皮質や生殖腺でステロイドホルモンの産生に関わるほぼ全ての遺伝子の転写調節領域にAd4BP/SF-1の結合配列が存在することが分かりました。このあたりのことは「教授のうわごと」の「私の発見体験記」で述べています。
