I am honored to announce that I was appointed as a Professor in the Department of Healthcare Administration and Management, Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University on April 1st, 2023.

After graduating from Kyushu University School of Medicine in 1998, I have worked in acute stroke care, primary care, and rehabilitation as a physician, and have been deeply involved in clinical epidemiological research using a multi-centered hospital-based registry for acute ischemic stroke. Since 2014, I have been assigned to the Department of Healthcare Administration and Management, and am also in charge of education at the Professional Graduate School of Public Health.

This year marks the 23rd anniversary of our department’s establishment, and we are dedicated to conducting research on appropriate medical service systems in the midst of a drastically changing health care environment in Japan. By applying our clinical and research experience, we aim to advance research based on data science and to educate highly-skilled health professionals who can provide support in the clinical environment.
