Greeting from the Newly Appointed Professor Jun Hata, Department of Health Care Administration and Management
I was appointed as a professor in the Department of Health Care Administration and Management on April 1, 2024.
I graduated from Kyushu University School of Medicine in 1998. After clinical training in internal medicine, I have been engaged in the Hisayama Study, a long-term epidemiological study on non-communicable diseases conducted by Kyushu University, since 2002. Additionally, from 2010, I spent three years at the George Institute for Global Health, the University of Sydney, comprehensively learning about large-scale clinical studies including randomized controlled trials. After returning to Japan, I have continued my work as a faculty member at Kyushu University, conducting epidemiological and clinical research, and providing undergraduate and graduate education in the fields of epidemiology and public health.
In the Department of Health Care Administration and Management as a professional graduate school of public health, we provide education in public health, including epidemiology, preventive medicine, health economics, hospital management, and international health. In research, I will continue to collaborate with co-researchers, engaging in epidemiological and clinical studies, while also striving to explore new research areas.
I sincerely appreciate your support and guidance.
