The first heart transplantation in Kyushu was successfully performed in Kyushu University Hospital, on February 16, 2005. Surgical operation and post-operative care was successfully carried out by the team of cardiovascular surgery led by Dr. Shigeki Morita (associate professor). The recipient was discharged in May, and now enjoying a life with high quality. |
