受賞

第33回神経内分泌学会・川上賞（学会賞）受賞
平成18年10月27日、28日に横浜みなとみらいで開催された第33回神経内分泌学会にて川上賞（学会賞）を受賞しました。

受賞内容
ストレスに対する行動学的ならびに神経内分泌学的応答は生命の維持活動に不可欠であるが、その反応性が高い個体では社会的生活の妨げになるばかりでな く、鬱病や高血圧、心筋梗塞などの罹患率が高まることが知られている。菊水らはラットおよびマウスを通常より1週間早期に離乳することで、不安行動と攻撃 性の上昇、母性行動と性行動の低下、さらにはストレス内分泌系が亢進することを見出した。またその反応性には雌雄差が存在し、オス動物の脆弱性が認められ た。さらに、早期離乳ストレスによるストレス内分泌調節機構のエピジェネティックな変容と永続的な神経栄養因子の低下を見出した。このように菊水らの 研究により幼少期社会環境が神経系におよぼす影響は多大かつ永続的であることが見出され、これら研究成果は基礎神経科学に寄与するだけでなく、ヒトの臨床研究にも有用な情報が得られるものと思われる。
