Dear Colleague;

On behalf of the organizing committee, I am pleased to announce that the International Symposium of Gonad and Brain Sex Differentiation will be held at Fukuoka (JAL Resort Sea Hawk Hotel Fukuoka), Japan from Sep. 14 to 16, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT), Japan.

After finding of sex chromosome, researchers have spent to address a variety of issues concerning sexual dimorphism. We exited frequently when touching their important, fundamental, and integrating observations, and simultaneously our understanding of the mechanisms of sex determination and differentiation, gonadal development, human diseases, brain sex, evolution of the sex, etc. has expanded extensively. This symposium is organized to provide a platform where scientists of this research field meet and discuss the state-of-arts of the observations and future prospects of mechanisms of sex differentiation.

As indicated in the program, we have invited approximately 40 researchers of developmental biology, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, neuroscience, endocrinology, and physiology. They will deliver the inspiring talk on the pioneering works. We hope the participants can enjoy by actively exchanging their opinions and ideas within the framework of this symposium. We also arrange a session for poster presentation at the 14th night. The organizers encourage to participate and to give poster presentation in the International Symposium of Gonad and Brain Sex Differentiation. We are highly confident that this symposium will be most informative and fruitful in increasing our understanding of the mechanisms of sex differentiation.
