Age-related macular degeneration is popular the most frequent cause of blindness among old age people in United States. The cause and the effective therapy are unknown. Prof.Tatsurou Ishibashi(Ophthalmology) and colleagues found an inhibitor for the growth of newly developed vessels in choroid in this disease. They established a venture business company, and are preparing to make a drug derived from this inhibitor, and sale for these patients in United States.
